JESUS IS THE GLORY OF THE FATHER

Monday, we looked at the various words for glory, and how they apply to God. We find all of these attributes represented in Jesus. He shows us the Glory of the Father, because He is the Glory of the Father!

I. Jesus Shows Us The Splendor
of God's Glory
Matthew 17:2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.

II. Jesus Shows Us The Power of God's Glory
In John, when Jesus performed his first miracle the Word of God says, (John 2:11b) ...He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

1Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

III. Jesus Shows Us The Goodness of God's Glory
He was morally Perfect
* Preaching against the hypocracy of the pharisees

* The Sermon on the Mount:
If you lust you've already commited adultry
If you hate you've already commited murder

* "Zeal for your house has consummed me!"

He was perfect in Quality and Being Good to Others!
* He blessed the little children!
* He ministered to outcasts!
* He healed all who came to him!

IV. Jesus Shows Us the Full Weigh God's Glory: All That God Is!
"...Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father." John 14:9
