FIVE DAYS OF THANKSGIVING

We distributed this handout our first Thanksgiving at Lighthouse! Just something simple to keep us on the right track during the week!

Monday: The Lord’s Goodness and Mercy!
“Lord, you are the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. You have always been and you always will be the only true, God. You are good and perfect and your love endures forever!”
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 107:1

Tuesday: Freedom
“Thank you Lord, for liberty; both spiritual and civil. Because of the cross my soul is set free. Because my soul is free, I can pursue all other freedoms. I can choose to give you thanks today, Lord, because I live in the Land of the free and the home of the brave!”
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36

Wednesday: Family and Friends
“As they start to gather for the holiday, I will give thanks to you, O Lord, for my family and friends and the love and support they provide in my life.”
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. John 15:12

Thursday: Abundance
“As I see the Thanksgiving meal before me, I will give you thanks for every spiritual and material blessing you have given me, Lord. Thank you, Lord, that as my soul prospers and is good health, my natural man will prosper and be in good health!”
You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance. Psalm 65:11

Friday: Jesus!
“Lord, as I leave Thanksgiving and look ahead to the Christmas season, I will give you thanks every day for your Son, Jesus. Father, thank you for the salvation and peace that was born that night in Bethlehem.”
But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman... Galatians 4:4
