Fight The Good Fight of Faith!

God told Abraham "I have made you the father of many nations."  God didn't say, "I'm going to make you the father of many nations."  He said, "I have made you the father of many nations" - present tense (Romans 4:17-18).  God said this before Abraham even had the son of promise!

For humans, being in time and space is like traveling down a dark path in a thick forest.  You can't really see what's ahead of you.  If you could climb a tree, somehow rise above it all, you could see what's coming ahead.  God sits in a position where He can see the beginning of the path of your life - and he can see the end.  As a matter of fact, God exists beyond space and time.  Looking at all of human history, He can see the beginning, the end, and everything in between.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).  Fighting the good fight of faith involves believing God's promises no matter what the evidence shows, or doesn't show.  This happens when you listen for the voice of God as he tells you, "I have seen your future and it is great!"  Be encouraged that when you became a child of God He not only rewrote your yesterdays, but He rewrote your tomorrows as well!  He knows how it ends, because He's already been there!
